The Next Formula E Car Can Go 210 mph With All-Wheel Drive! Check Out the Big Upgrades!

The excitement around the newest generation of Formula E racing cars, known as Gen4, is hard to ignore. The chassis will continue to be made by Spark, but there will be changes in the battery supplier. Goodbye to Williams Advanced Engineering, and hello to Podium Advanced Technologies from Italy, which will now provide the batteries for these high-powered machines. Additionally, tire supplier changes are on the horizon, as Bridgestone is stepping in to replace Hankook. For the first time, teams will also have the option to use different wing configurations, which will help improve the car’s aerodynamics.

When it comes to performance, the Gen4 cars will be somewhere between the capabilities of Formula 1 and other racing series like IndyCar. While they will still weigh about 20% more than F1 cars, the increase in horsepower and all-wheel drive (AWD) system means they could rocket out of tight corners even faster than F1 cars. However, there’s a small concern—hopefully, these powerful machines won’t be too big for iconic tracks like Monaco!

As for speed, the Gen4 cars have already shown impressive results, reportedly hitting 210 mph (338 km/h) during testing in Spain. Manufacturers like Nissan, Jaguar, Porsche, Maserati, and Lola have all pledged to continue their involvement in Formula E as it enters this new and exciting chapter.
